Prof. Dr. Mark Jakob is a specialist in otorhinolaryngology and has completed several years of training in the field of facial plastic surgery with a focus on aesthetic nose correction (rhinoplasty) and functional nose surgery (nasal septum / sinus surgery). Within the field of modern ENT medicine, Prof. Jakob's main areas of practice in recent years have been allergology, sleep apnea, snoring and sleep diagnostics, and reflux treatment (heartburn). Prof. Dr. Jakob received his training at the universities of Bonn, Göttingen and Seattle (USA). His expertise then took him to the University Hospital of Munich (ENT), where he dedicated many years to facial and nasal plastic reconstructive surgery as managing senior physician. Prof. Jakob was appointed Professor (APL) by the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU) in 2020 and regularly teaches his discipline, otorhinolaryngology, in Munich. Prior to his establishment in Cologne in 2022, Prof. Dr. Jakob served as senior physician in the Department of Otolaryngology at the Panklinik am Neumarkt in Cologne.
