Dr. med. Katharina Schare-Weltersbach

Dr. med. Katharina Schare-Weltersbach is a consultant in ENT medicine with many years of clinical experience and a strong background in academic research. Following her medical studies in Mainz and international placements in Australia, Malta and Switzerland, she spent many years working at St. Franziskus-Hospital in Cologne, most recently as an Acting Senior Physician. She has been part of the Köln Medical team since 2024.

A particular focus of Dr. Schare-Weltersbach's work is on conditions of the ear – especially hearing disorders, tinnitus and dizziness. Through her academic work on the inner ear, she brings especially deep expertise to this sensitive area. She also treats a broad spectrum of ENT conditions, including allergology, paediatric ENT, voice and swallowing disorders, sleep-related breathing disorders, and snoring.

At the centre of her work is always the individual patient: Dr. Schare-Weltersbach takes the time to listen, placing great value on clear communication, individually tailored treatment concepts, and care built on trust.
